Happy Yalda, Happy Winter Solstice 

Yalda Night, or Winter Solstice falls on December 21 and is the longest and darkest night of the year. In the Persian culture, this night is celebrated, family and friends get together, eat fruits, nuts (particularly Watermelon and Pomegranate are significant) and read poetry until the morning.
